  • Device data: device model, OS version, unique device identifiers.
  • Usage data: app actions (e.g., activities joined, time spent, crash logs) to improve performance.
  • Location data (optional): only when you choose to enable "Nearby connections" or activity-based pairing.
  • Cookies & analytics: used to understand usage patterns and enhance experience.

How We Use Your Information

We use your data only to make Join In safe, reliable, and engaging:

  • To create and personalize your profile.
  • To match you with other users based on shared activities, interests, or preferences.
  • To enable chat, voice, or video interactions in real time.
  • To improve app performance and develop new features.
  • To ensure safety, prevent fraud, and comply with legal obligations.
  • Safety & AI Moderation: To maintain a safe community, we use automated AI tools (OpenAI) to screen profile photos and text for nudity, violence, or offensive content. We also collect and store "User Reports" to facilitate our manual review process.

Sharing of Information

We do not sell your data. We only share data:

  • With other Join In users, as necessary for matching and communication.
  • With trusted service providers who help us operate the platform under strict confidentiality agreements.
  • When required by law enforcement or regulators.

Data Storage and Retention

  • All user data is securely stored on encrypted servers.
  • We retain your information only as long as necessary for account operation or legal obligations.
  • You may request account deletion at any time, after which your data and chat history are permanently erased.

Security

We use modern encryption and security protocols to protect user data. However, users are advised to interact responsibly. Any user engaging in harmful behavior will be permanently banned via our internal Admin Panel.

Children's Privacy

Join In is intended for users aged 18 and above. We do not knowingly collect or store information from anyone under 18. If such data is found, it will be promptly deleted.

Terms of Use for Join In

Welcome to Join In ("we", "our", or "us"). These Terms of Use ("Terms") govern your access to and use of the Service. By using Join In, you agree to these Terms. If you do not agree, please do not use the Service.

1. Eligibility

You must be at least 18 years old to use Join In. We do not support anonymous guest accounts; a verified profile is required for all interactions to ensure user accountability.

2. Your Account

  • You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your account credentials.
  • You must not impersonate another person or misrepresent your identity.
  • Notify us immediately at arkatech.001@gmail.com if you suspect unauthorized use of your account.

3. User-Generated Content (UGC) & Zero-Tolerance Policy

You agree to use Join In responsibly. We maintain a Zero-Tolerance Policy regarding objectionable content and abusive users. You must NOT:

  • Share or post content that is pornographic, sexually explicit, or contains nudity.
  • Use the platform to harass, abuse, or harm others.
  • Share hateful, discriminatory, or defamatory content.
  • Post content that violates another person's rights or privacy.

AI-Powered Filtering: All user profiles and media are filtered by AI moderation tools. Any attempt to upload prohibited content will result in an immediate block or account termination.

4. Safety, Blocking, and Reporting

Join In facilitates connections based on shared interests. To ensure a safe environment, we provide the following mandatory safety features:

  • Reporting: Users can report any content or user that violates our Terms via the in-app reporting tool.
  • Blocking: Users can block any other user at any time with a single tap, immediately terminating all interaction.
  • Administrative Action: Our team reviews all reports within 24 hours. Offending content will be removed, and violators will be permanently banned via their unique user ID.

5. Termination

We reserve the right to suspend or terminate your account immediately and without notice if you violate our Zero-Tolerance Policy, engage in behavior that harms other users, or fail to comply with these Terms.

6. Intellectual Property

All rights, trademarks, logos, app designs, and content (other than user-generated content) are owned by Join In / Arkatech. Reproduction without consent is prohibited.

7. Disclaimer and Limitation of Liability

The Service is provided on an "as is" basis. Join In and its affiliates are not liable for any damages arising from your use of the Service or from interactions with other users.

8. Governing Law

These Terms are governed by the laws of India. Any disputes shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of Delhi, India.
